The story of the Funtunfunefu Denkyemfunefu (siamese crocodiles) is of two crocodiles sharing one stomach. Initially, they fight over food and refuse to help when one head is being attacked by predators. As such they both grow weak, skinny and vulnerable. They soon see the foolishness in their actions and realize that in order to survive, one head would find and eat food while the other defended them from predatory attacks. Because of their ability to detect attacks from two directions, they soon became the most powerful animal in their habitat. The head's of the crocodile are at the top and left, while their tails are at the bottom and right of the Ghanaian adinkra symbol.
